We’re in a NY state of mind.

We left Cozy Pond CG on Tuesday morning, 9/13 and headed NW to the Lake George NY area. It was a beautiful day and we arrived at the Lake George Escape RV park in Warrensburg around 2pm. This park is an Encore park and is 1 of 5 included with our Thousand Trails Choice Vacation package that works the same as a TT park (AKA 3 weeks free, $.0.00). We got a nice site with trees on both sides of us so nice and private even though it’s a huge park.

Our first night we went to a local winery and had a tasting and bought a couple bottles of the local wine as well as patronizing a local Lake George bakery for some tasty items. Thursday, we rode up to Wilmington and drove up the Whiteface mountain auto rode. It was a beautiful day with only a slight haze that seemed to get better as the day went on. The elevator to the top from the parking lot was out, so we climbed the 27 stories to the top and were rewarded by the view. We also enjoyed a nice lunch at a pulloff on the way down including some nice cherry tomatoes Sarah had brought from their garden on the weekend (Thanks Sarah & Ryan). Lots of pics below and a few more here:

UPDATE: Saturday, September 17, 2016

Jane’s cousin Bonnie and her husband Pete who live near Albany came up to the Lake George Escape to visit us and see our new home. We cooked up some burgers and had a nice visit and went down into Lake George and drove up Prospect Mountain highway to enjoy the views from there. When we got back I gave Pete a drone demo and took some shots of the campground.
